BIG BIRTHDAY WISHES BOB!

Bob and I met in the early 80’s, when he was in Vancouver on business.  He had called a friend to get together that evening.  Michael had a dinner date with me that night, and invited Bob to join us.  Of course, Bob’s conviviality added to a very pleasant date.  At that time, I was considering investing in a video store.  Bob had some time the next day and offered his business acumen to help me in my decision.  I didn’t invest.

From then on when Bob was in town and had a bit of spare time, we’d meet for a coffee or a drink.  In the late 80’s my daughter finished her degree at McGill.  She has lived in Montreal since.  After that, whenever I was in town, Bob and I would meet for a lunch in his city; not frequently, but enough to keep us somewhat up to date on each other’s lives.

Although it has been awhile since we last met, The Harris Herald has put us in touch again. Bob’s extremely positive personality, his enthusiastic energy, and his generous spirit hasn’t diminished a whit in (OMG!) close to 40 years.  Thus the large number of subscribers/ friends for his twice-weekly mail out.

All the Best
Carolyn
