Dear Bop (we got this from an Aunt in Switzerland who always called Bob “der Bop” because she couldn’t do a soft b at the end 😕
As you know we don’t celebrate our births or as Karin (my wife, your sister-in-law) always says “It’s the mother who should be celebrated for all of the suffering to get that kid here and not the kid who did nothing but come!” But once you hit 80, I guess we can celebrate your achievement. ?
You’ve become a role model for me who is just behind you with 76 years of existence. Now I know that:
- You don’t have to eat your vegetables to hit 80ties
- You don’t have to have whiskey, wine or snaps but diet Pepsi is good – I’m disappointed in this. ☹
- Hiking in mountains is not the solution. Taking the ski lift is just as good.
- A happy disposition and family like are important.
- Keep the lid on the toilet when finished because Jakobi the parrot might fall in or many years of training by older sisters.
OK that is from us here in Geneva. Looking forward to a nice drink with you when I get to Canada.
Love and big hug (with mask on)
Albin (aka Bino) Karin and family
