Welcome to the 4 score club
It has been my privilege to be associated with Bob for the past 30 years or more- hockey being our first contact then as part of a foursome in frequent golf games – years of monthly luncheons – email- phone- social occasions. etc. Certain plenty of occasions to appreciate, enjoy, and experience the talents of a quite remarkable fellow.
Just the number of businesses, and enterprises he had a hand in certainly established his ability as a successful administrator with great rapport with his staff. But that aspect was not the main consideration in realizing our respect and appreciation . Certainly he has a super pleasant personality, a fine mixer, is comical, well versed, entertaining -all of which seems very natural to him –
But those “little things” – so considerate: like having a cache of fresh muffins for the ninth hole of our golf, regularly taking our pictures and offering them as memos of happy or notable occasions, mailing me welcome information about my special interests (not necessarily his)- brochures on astronomy topics – eclipses- meteors, -a friendly phone check to senior seniors during difficult times – nice touches.
We probably could consider his latest epic undertaking of the popular Harris Herald as a reflection of much I have mentioned above. It offers a masterful editorial job – an entertaining melange of humor, current, present and past news with nostalgic references, sports (Habs Miracle Surge), political content, well sprinkled with nonsense to an almost global readership at a time when we all desperately need diversion.

Any chance of convincing you a TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE is one of NATURE’S truly Grand Spectacles- The boys may need someone to provide the photos for this epic event which comes to Montreal in 2024.
